Something particular about you:

I had a close friend who suffered from depression in high school and I felt clueless on supporting her. Since then, I was drawn to the field of psychology. I started the journey to become a counsellor when I chose bachelor in psychology as my undergraduate course. It has been a fruitful journey for my personal and professional growth. Throughout my career as a counsellor, I work with clients from the age of 4 to adulthood. I gradually built my skill sets and experiences over the past 10 years. My specialties in counselling approach is integrative approach, which heavily
focuses on person-centered approach and CBT approach. I also use certain techniques from other approaches as an intervention to my client’s issues.

Life is often filled with unexpected events and circumstances, which may affect our well-being. I believe that we all have the capability to work on our personal struggles. Abilities and skills can be acquired to deal with the issues and difficulties we encounter in life. As a counsellor, I provide a safe space in the counselling sessions to journey together with my client.
