Something particular about you:

My 30+ yearlong journey in counselling has been an invaluable life enrichment experience with a deeper understanding about life and human suffering. I have gained better insights about helping others too – “from one fixing and rescuing or authority and domination, to one of service, collaborative creativity, inquiry.” (Saki, Heal Thy Self).

As Nouwen said, “Cure without care is more harmful than helpful.” The basic meaning of care is: to grieve, to experience sorrow, to cry out with. With a deeper reflection about the helping relationship, I highly value CARE and COMPASSION in counselling : the willingness to face pain and suffering with clients, to touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand, to be in silence with clients in a moment of despair or confusion, and to be present with them when in grief and bereavement……
